Cedar Bluff Cemetery is located in Rockford,
IL.. It is bordered on the south by Rural Street and on the west by Hwy 251. The date the cemetery was established is unknown,
but the older monuments are located on the west edge of the cemetery.
Even though we know of no reasons
for paranormal activity to be occuring here, after hearing of the strange tales about the cemetery from neighbors,
we thought we would do a quick investigation of the location. Reported phenomena has been stated as ghost lights, voices
and shadowy figures. There is also a report of a murdered woman's body being found on the premises.

night shot.

Upon entering the cemetery we decided
to take baseline readings, which were in the range of what would be expected for an outdoor location. We then attempted to
capture evp's, but were not successful on the attempts. There were a couple of abnormal pictures, which we have posted below,
but we can not consider them paranormal as there was no other evidence to support the claims of an alleged haunting.
The only fluctuation in any of our readings was a temperature drop from 68° to 56°, but that alone does not show proof of
paranormal activity.
As for the reported phenomenon, we have found
man-made or natural ways these could be recreated. The cemetery is surrounded on three sides by houses and on the fourth
side it is bordered by a highway. Someone looking into the cemetery could easily mistake car lights for ghost lights, and
car lights could also be casting shadows through the cemetery. Also, there were many solar lights throughout the cemetery
which could easily be mistaken for ghost lights. The cemetery is in a very residential area, with many homes, which could
account for the voices being heard.
