Circle 13 cemetery is the unofficial name of an abandoned
cemetery in the middle of a cornfield, just outside of Sycamore, IL . It got this name from the 13 trees that used to encircle
the old graveyard. There was also an old farmhouse there, that according to local legend ran rampant with satanic
activity that would often spill over into the small adjoining cemetery.

The stories of satanic rituals and local legends
of ghostly activity at this abandoned cemetery were our motivation for making the trip to Circle 13.
After hiking through a corn field for about
one hundred yards, we came to a clearing. A fenced in cemetery was there in the middle. Decrepit tombstones littered
the ground and many were illegible due to long exposure to the elements. Baseline readings were collected, which revealed
nothing anomalous. Video was set up to cover the location. The investigators then took up positions for observation
during the vigil. During the course of the night evp's were attempted to no avail. We did record two very weak
emf spikes. We could track the movement of the energy for short distances. With no other supporting evidence,
the energy spikes were deemed not to be paranormal in nature. The rest of the time spent there was uneventful.
Though an abandoned cemetery in the middle of a corn field may seem a bit strange or creepy. After reviewing the
data we collected at the location and our personal experiences, we believe that Circle 13 is probably not haunted.
